Honoring our Hero in the Faith, Sonny Arguinzoni Sr.
Nov. 2, 2025
James 2:23–24 (ESV) 3 and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”—and he was called a friend of God. 24 You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.
Isaiah 45:2–3 (NKJV) 2 ‘I will go before you And make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze And cut the bars of iron. 3 I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden riches of secret places, That you may know that I, the Lord, Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel.
Isaiah 54:2–3 (NIV) 2 “Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. 3 For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities.
Isaiah 59:21 (NIV) — 21 “As for me, this is my covenant with them,” says the Lord. “My Spirit, who is on you, will not depart from you, and my words that I have put in your mouth will always be on your lips, on the lips of your children and on the lips of their descendants—from this time on and forever,” says the Lord.
Hebrews 13:7 (NIV) Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life
(NLT: Think of all the good that has come from their lives),
and imitate their faith (NLT: follow the example of their faith).
Today is Legacy Sunday:
We are Honoring our Hero in the Faith, Pastor Sonny Arguinzoni Sr.
What is Legacy?
A Legacy is:
What a Person leaves behind.
What someone is remembered for.
Anything handed down by an ancestor.
Something passed down from one generation to the next.
The lasting imprint an individual leaves behind.
A person’s Legacy comes from:
the character, values, accomplishments, and results of a person’s life.
When we see the good that comes from a person,
the wise thing to do is honor them and imitate them.
Hebrews 13:7 (NIV) Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life
(NLT: Think of all the good that has come from their lives),
and imitate their faith (NLT: follow the example of their faith).
“Remember” means: to call to mind, to make mention of.
Revelation 3:3 (NIV) Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.
Remembering helps us stay:
Repentant.
Not become worldly.
Spiritually Awake.
Not Distracted from what we are called to do.
“Imitate” means: follow their example.
Hebrews 6:12 (NIV) We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.

Example of Abraham:
James 2:23–24 (ESV) 3 and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”—and he was called a friend of God. 24 You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.
Abraham believed God:
1. To move to a new home, leaving behind his wealth and established reputation, not knowing where he was going. He trusted in God’s Promise of future blessings.
2. That he would become a father in his old age (100 year old and his wife, Sarah was 90 years old)
3. To be willing to sacrifice his son of promise, Isaac, on the Altar.
Isaiah 45:2–3 is a Promise God has given to Victory Outreach.
You are a result of this Promise.
The Promise is not completed.
There are still Treasures out of Darkness in this world.
The Promise is FOR you and TO you.
This is the Legacy that Pastor Sonny has handed down to us.
Faith to Believe God for Big Things: That’s what the The Believers Club is all about.
Quote: “Faith, Faith, Faith, Faith, whatever we are going to do,
we need to step out by faith.”
Pastor Sonny has left us a Ministry that was born in the Heart of God.
Your Spiritual DNA is Faith to believe God for Big Things.
1. Faith to Answer to Call:
God is Calling, Anointing, and Separating some of you for the Ministry.
You are Pastors, Evangelists, Apostles, Missionaries, etc.
God Calls Ordinary People.
He does look at your IQ, Education, Your Accomplishments, Your Mistakes.
2. Faith for the Global and Local Vision:
Isaiah 54:2–3 (NIV) 2 “Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. 3 For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities.
3. Faith for the Next Generation:
Isaiah 59:21 (NIV) “As for me, this is my covenant with them,” says the Lord. “My Spirit, who is on you, will not depart from you, and my words that I have put in your mouth will always be on your lips, on the lips of your children and on the lips of their descendants—from this time on and forever,” says the Lord.
